Legend Gold has been exploring in the Republic of Mali, West Africa ("Mali") since 2002 and presently has gold exploration projects comprising over 730 km2, making us one of the largest land holders in the country. Mali is a politically stable, democratic country that is a very friendly mining jurisdiction, host to many active mines and western exploration firms. Mali has become Africa's third largest producer of gold in just sixteen years of mining development.
Legend Gold has made significant gold discoveries in Mali - the Tiekoumala Gold Project is our most advanced project with a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate of 240,000 + 350,000 - Indicated & Inferred ounces of gold.
Our flagship properties include: Lakanfla project which is next to the Sadiola Mine in West Mali and key new acquisition, Mougnina, 8 km from the prolific Syama Mine in South Mali. Legend Gold's other Malian gold projects include Npanyala, Mogoyafara, Tinntiba, and Kata.
All projects are located in the prolific Birimian-aged rocks of the Leo-Man Shield, host to several world-class deposits and where the potential for discovery is robust.
